  It is another treatment for hemophilia, which is either taken as a liquid or as a pill. Its brand name is Amicar, and it helps in preventing the breakdown of blood clots. It is used to stop the bleeding in the mouth and gastrointestinal system, or after tooth extraction.

Gene therapy
Today, several researchers are working on a way to rectify the faulty gene that causes hemophilia. However, this form of treatment is not well-developed yet. As a result, it is not a widely accepted form of hemophilia treatment. However, clinical trials of gene therapy are on-going.
